How to travel to Ethiopia
Ethiopia has recently re-introduced it’s online e-visa, so travel to Ethiopia is back and simpler than ever. We have created a brand new Ethiopia itinerary so that we can continue to run trips and support our staff and teams in this beautiful country.
As you may know, sadly, Ethiopia has been in the midst of civil conflict since November 2020. As such there are some areas that are not possible to visit currently. However, Ethiopia is a country with an extraordinary amount to offer and there are many other parts of the country that are stable and safe. We have revised the itinerary we have been offering for the past several years to bring you a different take on one of our favourite trips.
Our new trip will begin by visiting the tribes of the Omo Valley – some of the oldest and most diverse in Africa. Then we’ll fly East to the ancient walled city of Harar, exploring the narrow alleyways where wild Hyenas still wander, before finally crossing into the de-facto independent state of Somaliland. Here we will see the stunning cave paintings at Las Geel and enjoy the atmosphere in the capital, Hargeisa.
And for the truly intrepid? Add on an extra 48 hours in Mogadishu with our specialist guides and team.
